When You Turn 18, Write A Will

A month ago, I wrote my own will in case of my death.

You might be asking,

"Why do you need a will? You're still young."

If there was one thing I hate, I don't like the idea of my possessions and assets seised by the government and decided by them how it's distributed or dealt with.

I don't know how I overlooked such an important document, given I was quick to sign up for a credit card.

Then, who do you give it to?

My brother.

He's responsible. Doesn't drink, smoke, gamble, take drugs. A saver not a spender.

Until I get married and have children, it's just a fail safe if anything happens.

And I mean, IF.

How Did I Do It?

They recommended using an actual solicitor or lawyer to write up the document, but I ended up doing a DIY.

As long as you outline everything correctly and get witnesses to sign it, should be all good.

In my own morbid sense of humour, by living life without a will...

You're leaving money on the table: yours.
