Adopt New Technology, Or Be Left Behind
At my job working for an electronics retailer, I always had this fucked thought. A lot of people, particularly the older generation, had trouble with using newer technologies.
The thought was:
"One day, they will cease to exist. We will finally have generations of people who are competent to use the technology."
But, I realise that dumb people will still exist.

(Or sooner reading this article, use AI)
You know one of my fears? Perhaps this is due to youth, I do not wish to be the old man who curses technology.
Because, I'm fearful I will turn into the same people I help at work. The people left behind by the times.
As a result, I'm here writing and justifying my usage of AI.
The Idea Of AI
Most of the common programs: ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek are general language models.
They are fed information that constantly improves and updates their models.
When you provide an input to these language models, you asking someone who has read millions of books, webpages, TedTalks, information.
How To Use In Conjunction With Google
If I want to read something created by a human, I will use Google. If I want information on a scenario tailored to my specific circumstance, then I will use AI.
It's not black and white. You sort of get a feel for when you're going to use Google vs AI.
Evolutionary Speaking
If you are not growing, then you are dying.
Our species have predicated ourselves on the ability to adapt. It's ignorant to ignore new developing technology to maintain ideological dogma.
For myself recently, I've been going down rabbit hole of topics.
Raw information isn't useful as collectivised and organised information. A general language model is meant to synthesise that information in a way that's comprehensible.
Out of my fear of being left behind, I will continue to use new technology.
